How to apply for Rhyme & Punishment.

Greetings and Salutations, brave adventurer!

If you have found this article then you must be interested in joining the ranks of Rhyme and Punishment. Well, we cannot argue on your taste at least, so score yourself a bonus point there!

We do not consider ourselves an elitist collective but we are particular about whom we let within our ranks so please take this into account while you are completing your application.

We make every effort to read an application once one has been lodged and should one of the recruitment officers wish to take your application further you will be contacted as soon as they get a spare moment in their busy schedules.

First things first!

Please make sure that when you register, your forum username reflects the name of the main character who's applying for RnP. It makes for a better environment, and helps people understand who's who.

Having your character named Arthas (making it up of course), and your forum username being Lichkingboy23 is not going to help anyone.

What do we look for in a candidate?

We pay a great attention to detail on the applicants level of Role Play, and due to this we are more likely to pay more attention to an application that starts:

"Greetings weary travellers, I bring news from afar."

As apposed to:

"My name is st3ve, IR IMBA lock, do u hav tabbarrd?"

Obviously if you find yourself writing the latter, you will probably find that Rhyme and Punishment is the not the best suited guild for you and we wish you well in your search.

Lore also comes into play during an application, but please do not be offended if one of the members picks up on a bit of lore that does not fit in. For example saying you are half vampire or the eldest son of Arthas will probably not get you anywhere, however our members are always up for lending a hand should you have trouble placing a certain event or person within your character history.

The Application Process

When your forum account is successfully activated, please click >>>HERE<<< and fill out the application form. It's important that everything is filled up honestly and carefully. Once you submit the form, a new thread will be created for you. You can edit the created post, if you wish. Please try to avoid removing/modifying the custom 'guildapp' and 'appsection' markup.

If you wish to add anything to it that will help us to get to know you better, feel free to do so.

The Interview

We will request you to take part in an interview. Quite often interviews can take place with just one officer present, but it is not uncommon to have five or six guild members taking part. It is a good way for us to get to know you, and also a good way for you to get to know us. An officer might get in touch with you via either in game mail or via whisper. You can also approach an officer yourself when indicated to do so.

Something we'd like to add - we're BUSY people. If someone hasn't gotten back to you within 5 - 7 days, chase, hound, bug, or harass any of the officers. Most of us have busy lives outside of Azeroth, so get us while you can.

Finally, please do read the Guild Rules - Found here.

Rhyme and Punishment is an equal opportunity guild, and by being so, we do not discriminate against level, class or race.

Good luck with your application and we hope to hear from you soon.

Here's another thang: The guild finder.

If, perchance, I or another officer sent you here based on your request from the guild finder, it means we want you to put up an application.

Simply stating your wish to join on the guild finder is not enough.
