City of Mages, Citadel in the Moonlight.

It's happy hour, the alcohol is flowing. It's time to pull up a tankard of ale, bottle of wine for the ladies and regail tales of heroism and grandeur.

City of Mages, Citadel in the Moonlight.

It was fast approaching midnight, the moonlight revealing Dalaran in a whole new light. Moonlight kept the streets dimly lit, aided only by the scattered ambient lights, giving the city of the mages an almost Ethereal beauty. The usual rush and chaos on the grounds was gone, replaced with a calm silence. Even so close to Icecrown, to the battle costing so many their lives, Dalaran seemed safe, oblivious, and to an extent almost uncaring, of the destruction looming on its doorstep.
Reathor walked at ease, wandering the city almost at leisure, the silence at calm of the place seeming to set him at ease. Where plate armour usually covered his body it had been replaced with lighter, civilian clothes. Any true hint to his profession, other than the twin scars crossing his cheek, gone completely. Grim, determined expression replaced with a calm, relaxed smile, as the Paladin wandered the streets, seeing the sights of the violet city in a whole new light.

“This, is how it should be” he thought, no weapons, no conflict, no death, just calm, and peace.
He turned a corner, walking down an alleyway past the blacksmith. Even the horde he passed seemed uncaring of his presence, as if the years of hatred separating the two factions was totally inexistent.
He continued his walk, heading slowly to the Antoniadis memorial, an area of the city he had never truly cared to explore. What compelled him to visit such, even he could not answer. Standing before the statue of the fallen mage lord, he thought. So many men and women, families, nations even, lost forever to the annals of history, and for what? Standing before the tribute to one brave enough to look death in the face, and stand his ground for what he believed in seemed to gave Reathor a totally different outlook on the war.
“Is it all necessary?”
“perhaps”
he thought aloud “Arthas needs to fall, of that there is no doubt…but then what, war as we have for years, adding further men, women, families to the death toll, causing the downfall of entire civilisations in a war of nothing but Greed and past grudges, Perhaps…the war, is something that could be avoided completely”He sighed, saluting the statue, before turning on his heels, and walking towards the Mages Quarters.
“Perhaps, I will think on this more tomorrow, for now, I need sleep”

Reathor entered the Mage Quarters, leaving the streets in silence, nothing but the pattering feet of tiny critters disturbing the silence.
