Vengence for Kittens.

It's happy hour, the alcohol is flowing. It's time to pull up a tankard of ale, bottle of wine for the ladies and regail tales of heroism and grandeur.

Vengence for Kittens.

The two women stood in the demoniac circle in the centre of the dimly lit cavern, stood either side of a small pedestal, surrounded by tiny candles, the dim light each emitted enough to give a small measure of Light to the tiny cavern, the only other source of light being the entrance, which at present was sealed, the only signs of its existence. Upon the Pedestal lay the severed heads of four cats, the attention of both women seemed completely fixed on this.

The dim light of the room suddenly flared, as a portal opened in the corner, filling the tiny cavern with a Brilliant blue light. Both women turned, glaring at the light in a mixture of confusion and anger, simultaneously drawing their daggers and watching for any movement. For several minutes, both stood motionless, before one of the women slowly walked closer to the Portal, examining it closer.

Then he struck…

Reathor leapt through the portal, immediately slicing his blade through the closest women, who collapsed immediately in a pool of her own blood, the shock of the paladins attack still etched on her face as she hit the floor. The remaining woman gasped in shock, before leaping back, a bolt of unrefined shadow forming in her hand.
Reathor turned, seeing the bolt, and charged forward, raising his shield a split second before the bolt hit, the impact of it shattering the object in his hand completely. Charging on Regardless, he quickly closed distance with the warlock, who panicked, trying to prepare another spell. The shadow ball in her hand grew, before dissipating completely as Reathor’s Axe severed her arm.
The woman stumbled for a few seconds, looking at the paladin in shock, before hitting the floor unconscious.

“Hmph…simple”
Reathor smirked, throwing his helmet aside and looking at the two bodies. The one closest to the portal was cut nearly head to toe, clearly dead, but the one at his feet still had some breath in her.
Grunting, Reathor walked slowly over to the pedestal, grimacing at the sight of the cats severed heads, immediately recognising the identities of each and shaking his head in discust. He leaned in, looking at each, and sighed.
“To late to bring them back…But it will do her good to know her pets rest in peace. Surely”

Carefully, he placed each of the cats heads into a small bag, which he placed within a pouch in his cloak, before turning back to the portal. Walking slowly towards the portal, he stopped only to pick up the wounded warlock. The woman coughed violently, attempted to free herself his grip. Reathor turned his head, glaring angrily at the woman, before feinting a smirk, and throwing her wounded body through the portal, and stepping in himself, leaving the corpse, demoniac circle and cave in total silence..
