A tale of fire and ice

It's happy hour, the alcohol is flowing. It's time to pull up a tankard of ale, bottle of wine for the ladies and regail tales of heroism and grandeur.

A tale of fire and ice

The poor gnoll ran for his life, looking over his shoulder now and then. What he was running from was even shorter then himself but still he ran. There were two of them!

Suddenly he was stopped in his tracks. His feet stuck to the ground, incased in an iceblock. Two grinning figures standing behind him. Nervously he looked around but saw nothing. When the ice finally melted he ran on, only to be struck by an icelance, which made him freeze totally in place. He was melted by a fireball and icelanced again.

When he lay still on the ground, the two gnome children jumped out and looked at their victim. Who said fire and ice can't work together?

------------------

Several years later the children have grown, not so much in stature or size but in character. One white hair, pale skin, ice cold in nature, one red hair, blushing, hot tempered.
Two mages, one fire, one ice, two sisters.

Still a tale of fire and ice.

To be continued.
