Correction: Hold Alt and type the number on your numpad.

It doesn't work with the numbers on top of your alphabet.

Also € is 128 for anyone struggling to find the damned thing :D

Here is the full table.

Warning: The ascii character codes, when entered via the keyboard, can cause issues with some web servers. This forum seems to be fine with them but just incase you try using them elsewhere and somethign goes wrong.

Also, that is far from the full list Shev ;) (It's just the most commonly supported part of it)

ᛍᚻᛂᚱᚥᛁᛀᚨ ← No idea if this is correct by the way

Lil: That's because OSX better supports multiple language setups using the Option key.

I used to be able to type a lot of ascii keys by heart. I still can but can't use them anymore in Word because they do other things like open new pages and stuff... very annoying.

Alt 139 = ï
Alt 130 = é
Alt 131 = â
Alt 132 = ä

oh yes and Alt 248 = ° :D
