- New Starting Zone - Exile's Reach. An island where all new players go to learn the basics of the game.
- New players must level to 50 in Battle for Azeroth after Exile's Reach.
- Existing players can level in Exile's Reach or the old starting zones and pick any expansion to level to 50.
- Allied races start at level 10.
- Iconic class defining abilities such as Paladin Auras and Shaman Totems are returning.
