Classes

The Black Temple was merely a setback. Again.

Classes

I will write a bit about each class and the specialisation I have tried and done the artifact questline for.

Death Knight (Frost)
I went for Frost as that's what I have played most anyway and I still enjoy it. Changes are small but significant, especially when all runes are of the same kind. Makes it simpler to use abilities. DK class hall is the very familiar Acherus with added features: the first floor has the planning map and on the second floor one of the forges has been changed to work as a forge for the artifact itself. Frost DK's artifact quest takes us to Northrend but I won't talk too much about it to avoid spoilers. I must say that it was very interesting at best and something to look forward to if you wish to get it.

Demon Hunter (Havoc)
Double jump and gliding gets you to places and same goes for the class order hall. The small floating island that holds the portal to the hall is located near Dalaran and it can be accessed from Krasus' Landing. I am getting ahead of myself... DH starting area is very interesting and during it you get to know your abilities while unlocking them in punches, for example you unlock all control abilities at once and so on, which is three abilities at most. It took me a few tries to complete the Havoc artifact quest but the scenario itself was interesting as well. I am quite sure to make a DH when Legion hits live as it has been fun to play at times.

Druid (Feral)
Just today I completed the artifact quest for Feral but I was quite interested in Balance as well. After all Balance artifact is the Scythe of Elune. Either way, Feral artifact acquisition went well, and Feral seems quite nice to play. I have yet to play it more to say for sure but so far it has been interesting.

Hunter (Marksman)
I first played this as Survival but for artifact I went for marksman, and I kinda regret that. Survival seems viable and very interesting, and I enjoyed playing as one. I guess I am tired of just shooting arrows or firing the gun all the time so melee hunter feels a nice. Marksman artifact hunting was interesting and I would like to tell more about it, but spoilers, so narp.

Mage (Arcane)
Took me plenty of tries to get the artifact before I finally understood what I had to do with the last encounter! I finally got it and was happy. Arcane is a spec I haven't played much as I have always been either Frost or Fire. It was interesting to play it to say the least but I guess I'll change it to either Frost or Fire once I get high enough to pursue secondary artifact.

Monk Soon™
Paladin Soon™
Priest Soon™
Rogue Soon™

Shaman (Enhancement) Sarawr!
The one I have been streaming on twitch, shaman has so far been the one I have enjoyed most. Enhancement seems so fluid and fun that I love it a lot. Getting the Doomhammer was interesting journey and order hall seems intriguing.

Warlock Soon™
Warrior Soon™

One more thing about artifacts. I noticed with druid and shaman that you actually obtain a single item if stashed to your bag but equipping it you actually have two weapons: feral druid has two daggers equipped while shaman wields two hammers. I will post some screenshots later when I have the time.

I really like how Retribution Paladins look now. They have lots of stuff changed and the gameplay style seems to be clearly defined and they have bunch of very interesting mechanics.

Some notable new abilities they have:

"Retribution (passive)
Requires Paladin (Retribution)
Requires level 56
When any party or raid member within 40 yards dies, you gain 50% increased damage for 10 sec."

"Hand of Hindrance
27% of base mana 30 yd range
Instant 30 sec cooldown
Requires Paladin (Retribution)
Requires level 26
Places a Hand on an enemy target, reducing movement speed by 70% for 10 sec."

"Holy Wrath
Talent
Instant 3 min cooldown
Requires Paladin (Retribution)
Requires level 100
Limited to 4 target(s)
Deals Holy damage to up to 4 enemies within 10 yards equal to 150% of your missing health.

Deals 35% of missing health against enemy players."

"Unbreakable Will
Rank 1/1 Artifact Trait
Requires Paladin (Retribution)
Requires Ashbringer, Test Artifact 2
When unable to act in combat for more than 2 seconds, Ashbringer will break you free. Can occur only once every 2 min."

And bunch of other abilities that powers the ret paladin based on allies or the ret paladin taking damage. Ashbringer also turns enemies in to actual ash instead of normal corpses. :C

Behold the new tentacle spec!

Image

It's the new Shadow Priest and the new Voidform which is kind of deeper shadow form. New shadow form works like that you build insanity and the shadow form turns in darker and darker in color untill you have full insanity bar in which point you can activate Void Form which looks like dark color shadow form with some dark voidy mist around. The Void form then gives you some bonuses and starts draining Insanity rapidly increasing in pace but it also gives you a stacking haste buff which keeps increasing and if you can maintain the void form long enough you start sprouting tentacles. I have managed to get 20 % haste buff even at low lvl which makes you sprout tentacles from your shoulders. The cool thing is that the Haste buff lingers on you for a minute after losing the Void Form so you pretty much always are running around with a huge haste buff and the gameplay feels really fun.

Lore behind is simply from what I understand that Shadow Priests draw power from the Void similar to the Old Gods hence the similarities. It looks good imo.

I've grown to like shadow priest as well. If you take the talent at 100, you can activate the voidform when your insanity level is over 70. I'll see how the priest performs in raid on Thursday, and I'll get back to write my experiences of it then. :3

Shadow Priest Legion artifact seems interesting too. It's a dagger (boo) but it's sentient and there are lots of voice lines made for it talking to you about the old gods and the corruption and it has quite a bit of hidden lore.
