Wrote a little today, this is the result, short and hopefully sweet :)

Arms of Safety

Lil and Zho sat on the balcony railing of their home in Ironforge, gazing over at the museum across the street. Usually their house was filled with laughter and talk, but not today; today was different. Lil suddenly realized she hadn’t spoken to Zho all day, she turned her head to look at Zho, who was sitting to the right of her, Zho didn’t notice Lil looking at her at first, but then she turned her head to look at Lil. Their eyes met. They stared into each other’s eyes for a long time, however no smiles were exchanged. There was something that had changed in Zho’s eyes, even though it was obvious why it had, Lil couldn’t quite put her finger on what. Lil had a look of concern on her face that Zho noticed.
“Something on your mind, Lil?â€￾
Lil wanted to answer, but no words came, she ended up nodding twice in stead.
“Wanna talk about it?â€￾ Zho tilted her head sideways.
Lil shook her head, she had a strange feeling inside her, making her unable to speak. Even if she could, she didn’t know what to say as she didn’t want to alarm her wife.
“Okay, dear, but don’t break your head thinking too much, hm?â€￾ Zho gave a sheepish smile.
Lil nodded again, she turned her gaze away from Zho’s eyes and back towards the museum. Her mind was racing through the recent events, the letters she had recieved from Zho, the words, the handwriting, and then when she had seen Zho herself. She could remember the look in Zho’s eyes as she had described to Lil what had happened, nothing could describe the raging hellfires Lil had seen in them. It was a painful set of memories, her gut didn’t feel good at all as she thought of them. Lil had never seen Zho in such anger and hate. She was starting to feel sick from thinking of these things. And what of Zho herself? Lil was sure that she couldn’t fathom how Zho had felt during this time. Cultists had gone after Zho’s blood-daughter, Ophiea, Lil didn’t know any details, but she figured something serious had happened to make Zho so furious. The cultists were dead now.

Lil was getting pale as she sat there on the balcony railing, now Zho looked like she was getting worried as well, She pulled Lil in close to put her arms around her, she paused for a moment as she looked into Lil’s eyes, there were tears in them. Zho dried them and gave Lil a reassuring look, she smiled at her as well, it was a smile Lil couldn’t turn down, she leaned against Zho as Zho hugged her tight. Suddenly all the bad feelings faded, taken away by those arms of safety that felt safer and stronger than ever.
“Thank.. you.â€￾ Lil spoke as if she was sighing.
Zho nodded slowly.

Love is a fire, it always burns but sometimes for different reasons, this was what Lil had seen in Zho’s eyes, she realized it now.
