If you are running Windows 7 and have your automatic updates on, you should remove manually the update: KB 3004394 which causes problems.

How to remove?
Control panel -> Programs (or something like that) -> Now i am not sure how exactly it's arranged in windows 7, (im at the office) but there should either be an updates tab on the side or a checkbox to see updates as well, once you have found the updates, find the culprit and REMOVE it!
