Got a nice PC? Try this!

Do not try this if you have under 2 gigabytes of ram, as it will bog down your system and you will cry!

1. Load WoW
2. Open up macros
3. Make this macro...

/console groundEffectDensity 256
/console groundEffectDist 140
/console detailDoodadAlpha 100
/console horizonfarclip 2112
/console farclip 777
/console characterAmbient

4. Run macro
5. Close WoW
6. Open WoW, go to somewhere like Terrokar forest (or another nice zone) and get ready to go "oooooooooooooooooooh!"

What does this do?!

- The vegetation can be seen from miles away (grass flowers etc) plus there seems to be FAR more of it.
- The "bloom" effect seems to be more vivid, and on my paladin his shoulders actually glow.
- The view distance is greatly increased.
- Everything seems to be more sharp and crisp.
- The weather effects appear to be more intense.

Example:

After - http://img178.imageshack.us/img178/2902/92707134gs2.jpg

Note: Make a backup of 'config.wtf' first. It's located in your '//WTF/' directory just incase something goes wrong.

Enjoy!

Ahhhhh! I wish I had a pc like that, but I am scared I would hit 1 fps. It is said that warcraft can run on a toaster, so if you you do have a decent machine then ramp up your graphics setting and see what it can do! Might as well make the most of what you have ploughed your hard-earned into.

The graphical changes that came with patch 2.3 sure shoots new life into the game. I remember putting the graphics settings up when the changes were put live. The torches in the Stormwind City war room, and the Terokkar Forest sun both dazzled me.

If you love grass effects.. do this. It'll blow you away.

I seriously lost Pep in the Terokkar grass, was so dense and almost carpetted the floor. Even the Bone Wastes seemed to actually be just comprised of skeletons, bones and rocks littering the ground.

That was what I noticed as well. Grass!

Go to the Barrens, it's like running through a huge cornfield. :D

More grass!

It basically increases the amount of grass and floor gibs by 100% and increases the distance you can see them.
