Perhaps you're organising an event, or maybe know of one, here's the place to let the world know.

RnP bar @ the faire (previously "fiery nights edition")

Okay, gonna recycle this thread.

RnP bar @ the faire
4th of July

We need 3 shifts of each 2 people working this one. You can sign up for more shifts, but this will give the people working the bar some time to enjoy the faire themselves.

The pub will be held in the small building in the Steemwheedle port (right side). I just had a look around and it seems perfect for the occasion.

Now, we need people that want to sign up for this.
People that want to help out will be required to have a yellow/orange/red outfit (firefestival ones would be perfect). They also need to have a dancing flames thingy since we'll be putting 2 of those outside the building as advertisement of the pub.

Shifts will be 2 people. One will be working the bar, selling and the other will "socialise", clean up empty drinks and juggle torches outside to advertise the pub. (You can switch places during the shift if you like, I'll leave that up to you folks)

Sign up roster:

SHIFT 1 (20.00 - 21.00)

Bartender: Syrah
Waitress:

SHIFT 2 (21.00 - 22.00)

Bartender:
Waitress:

Shift 3 (22.00 - 23.00)

Bartender:
Waitress:

We'll be serving Sulferon slammers, dragonbreath chilly and water for those that underestimated the menu.

Any donations of slammers or mystery meat and/or small flame sacks are welcome.

Any suggestion are as always welcome!

And you've no thought of doing that as an outdoor beach bar during the Faire because? :Q

No me!
Well RnP is one of the guilds expected to host things in the faire, it's not just the Guard's thing. And the suggestions and concept of what you said here fit perfectly in the theme of this years' fiery Steamwheedle. So there!
I brings the barstall to the port or it gets the stormhammer again! :G

Well, I don't know who's decision it is... but I guess we could gather around the bar house at the port and serve alcohol to people... I'm the face of the bar while Syrah is the one who does most of the planning :P *cracks whip*

To be honest I can't help but think it would be kinda sad if anyone has to miss some of the events and be stuck behind a bar.

As a simple idea but would it be possible to have say 10-15 minute breaks between events when people could then pick up refreshments.

Just a thought.

I don't mind doing an hour shift - probably the 21:00. What we could do it wait for other events to pop up before making a final decision who works.

I've got torches and the outfit for it.

Well, that's the whole point of having shifts. That way you only have to work a small part of the faire and you can enjoy the rest of it yourself.

Roleplaying a bar can be fun too. As soon as the other events have a fixed hour, you can decide what shift to take and be there for the events you don't want to miss.

If needed, we can always make the shifts shorter, but that does mean we need more people

I guess I'll have to do one shift, not bothered which one as long as I don't miss the guard march, 'tis the only thing that I absolutely don't want to miss, other than that I could serve all night.

Well... you could also just have the bar opened whenever there's no mini-event going on and close doors when a mini-event is starting. I'm sure people won't attend a bar when there's something else going on, so might aswell just shut it down for the time and re-open it after the mini-events.
