Some of the members have been talking about finding new spots for gathering, so the guild would socialise more and do some long overdue RP. I however was of the opinion that simply selecting a "spot" won't be motivation enough for people to show up and could produce the "hey long time no see" encounters that I think we're all sick and tired of.
Let me outline what we could do to spice things up a bit, set the mood and maybe create something we could repeat, enjoy and remember for a long time.
-Instead of simply picking a spot, I suggest we chose a theme, a story an ambient and pick a location based on that.
-theme
Something everyone in the guild would know a bit about and could think of story arcs and make up IC reactions to on the fly. (Ghost story, nearing threat, natural disaster or anything the game allows us to use.)
-story
A couple of members could write up the outline of what would happen as time progressed and would change the outcome as needed. (I will volunteer for this the first time around.)
-location
Based on what we want to do, we chose a place which would be the center of this longrunning event and would serve as a regular meeting place for the guild untill the event expires.
Now practically speaking, I propose we let this last 1 month, give everyone rough outline of the setting and meet up once a week to progress the story in whichever direction It was intended to go. (Writing a recap on the forums for a chance to catch up If you missed it.)
I already have concrete Ideas of what I'd like to do If this gets enough interest and If someone would like to give me a hand, we could communicate through PM's. Everyone else, please tell me what you think of this and If there's anything you think should be added/changed to make It work.
