- From the Journal pages of Sychamo Brighthorn, scribbled in neat pencil lines.

Season of the sun, second revolution of M'usha

Was woken up today by the sound of brawling outdoors, my fellow apprentices spend alot of time perfecting their skills. Personaly never seen why they have such a focus on the militant side of our cult... No matter.

Training today included novice seers, the art of healing being its focus. Still not entirely profficient in it, something my fellows are fast to point out. I keep wondering why exactly I signed up for this, I'm a mediocre Sunwalker at best. Though I suppose being stubborn enough to not drop despite having the dirt beaten out of me does have practical uses.

Is that what defines me? An obstacle in the way of others intentions? No matter.

Boss Lady called again, sending us to support the Ashenvale offensive. The prospect of being directly involved in the war made me somewhat nervous.. I mean we did slay quite a few Theramore Marines by the savage coast earlier, but this is different. Taking the fight to the very doorstep of your enemy, and seeing her die in the confines of her home? Its sobering, very sobering.

We rode the giant Kodo Brutusk a fair deal, biggest beast I have ever seen. Very uneven ride as well, Kalsera and Calindei were nearly sent flying many times as the huge beast leapt skyward. Me and Lokni were only barely keeping on ourselves though, so its no bad remark on their part.

As we broke the siege of Splinter tree, I have to admit I was caught up in the war cries and the passion of the defenders. But now later on when I think of it.. the loss of life gives me pause. While Kalsera's holy powers washed away the pain and discomfort of their arrows, it didnt remove that feeling. I wonder how older warriors cope, seeing and doing what they have done. Is death something anyone can get used to?

In any case, I better get some sleep before our group gets guard duty again.. Seems boss lady wrote that into our work-contract with the army. I'd rather not fall off the watch tower because I fell asleep on my hooves...

An'she smile on me as I walk in the light

The last prayer was written inside a stylized sundisk symbol.

From the journal of Kalsera Sunstrider. How Maene has retrieved this is a mystery though Kalsera really shouldn't leave it lying around. Might be something to do with it. Unlike her reports this is much less formal and far more revealing.

It was with a light heart that I greeted my companions Sychamo, Lokni and... um... I should really remember the corpse girl's name someday, as we began our second week of active duty in Ashenvale.

The campaign against the backwards Kaldorei is coming along swimmingly and our first task was to seek out something of great importance to our enemy, the forest heart or some other silly nonsense, and corrupt it. We made our way to the barrow dens where what's-her-name was attacked by a Druid of the Claw and torn limb from limb. Luckily she can survive that so I put her back together while our Tauren companions made short work of him.

Image

Disturbingly, the Tauren displayed far too much sympathy for this enemy. Who's side are they on? We finally made it past the hapless ghosts of Druids to the Forest heart itself. I took glee in my chance to strike out at my people's uncouth cousins when that blasted corpse-girl to the honour for herself! Who does she think she is? Have I ever gotten in the way of her own peoples causes? More worryingly Lokni and Sychamo both seemed upset by doing their simple duty. I recommend keeping a close eye on those two.

We then made our way to a demon infested section of the forest to gather fel energies to fight the Kaldorei. The Sin'dorei are no strangers to such practices and it is with much shame that I admit I felt quite the rush from returning to old habits. Perhaps that is why I failed to see what was happening. I was so giddy from the latent fel energies that... well I'll get to that.

We returned to Splintertree having gathered Fel fire and culled a few demons and began to assist the Orc named Durak in gathering ore that could be turned into markers to guild the Fel fire missiles. Our work was done just in time for another attack by the locals. To avoid others realising what we were doing Durak transformed us into imps. This really should have rung alarm bells but I wasn't quite myself.

Image

We proceeded to bombard the Kaldorei attackers and I reminisced about my previous career as a demonologist. I even taught the Corpse-girl a little about her imp Quzloz (I really need to find out her name now). I'd like to think we're growing closer since my resignation as a Blood Knight. I doubt she agrees, but what does she know?

The attack over I felt wonderful. Fel magic coursing through me. Just like old times. We were even called to see the Warchief. It was only during the flight to Orgrimmar that my head cleared and I realised the trouble we were in. I thought Hellscream would tear our heads clean off right there. Not only was this risking a return to Orcish enslavement by the legion but I realised I was treading far to close to the actions of Prince Sunstrider. And he's rather dead as a result. We have been returned to Ashenvale to slay the demon who tricked us and hopefully prevent the Horde from executing us.

Should I feel guilt over this? I fear the coming reprisal yes, but today felt so right!

Channelling the energies of the Sunwell as a paladin is just so bland. Surely it can't hurt me to indulge is Fel energies occasionally... right? It's not like I never did it before.

When you near the 70s I`d love to sign on, I got a blood knight running around wearing only an old rag and no skills bought.

His background? During his height he was a loyal follower and glorious knight (TBC era) who lost everything when the Sunwell was restored (LK era). I dumped all his gear and all, occasionally using him to beg for 1 copper in ogrimmar.

His full story not to soon to be read in a `fan novel` that probably never will be published anyways teeheeee

I'd love to join in with Tundrak. He's a shaman and a devout follower of Thrall, he's his big example.

I'll think up some more details and a story, but as the Guard has their RP nights on tuesday as well I'm not sure I can join all the time.

Red Banner day events are experiencing slight problems! With hugely dwindled interest/attendance, getting a meaningfull group together is finding itself somewhat difficult.

This isnt a poke at anyone in particular, just a reminder that were still going, and welcome anyone who have time on Tuesdays from 20:00-22:00ish. As is now however, my hands are a bit tied when it comes to advancing the plotline I had thought out, as itd be a shame to have only a handfull of the interested attend!

The short of it: anyone with a lvl 24-25 Horde character should feel free to tag along with us, and see the other side of the speachbarrier!

<This report is written on several pieces of parchment, somewhat thinner then Lokni's last report. The text within, again written with finger paints, shows signs of unsteadiness>

Being part of the Red Banner for so long now, I was hoping to date this report by the number of weeks I have been associated with this group. However, my mind, partly numbed by age and partly by recent company, I have since forgotten how long it's been. It's fitting considering the lack of discipline the rest of the Banner seem to show. No matter, I shall be brief.

Boss Lady started yelling at us through the personal communicators, like usual, except reception was particularly bad this week. From what little we could make out, it seemed we had an emissary to escort from Azshara, who was currently stuck at Valormok. So myself, Kalsera and the shapeshifter, whom had taken a new male Orc form, wearing a bright purple hat and refering to himself as... Fundrak? Tundrak? Hundrak? It matters little... we all proceeded towards Valormok, unaware that a Kal'dorei squad was laying siege to Valormok and was inbetween Ashenvale and the emissary. We pushed our way through to find the emissary, Korknar Soursnarl, was in fact not stuck, but his mount had been killed on his way to Ashenvale. I was half expecting to have to pull him out of some mud. It would have been fitting, considering the standard of work we've been given so far within the Red Banner. He claimed to be a shaman of the Earthen Ring and seemed surprised when the Kal'dorei attacked him. He was also wearing a tabard displaying the Horde symbol, so it was no surprise to me that he was attacked on his way to Ashenvale. Still, he went on to mention he wanted to ask the spirits of Ashenvale why they were so angered and what we could do to appease them. So off we went back into Ashenvale. On foot.

Our first stop was Grom Hellscream's burial site. A valley of scorched rocks filled with demons. I took great pleasure in stomping the filth into the ground. It was here that Kalsera started acting oddly. Giggling to herself and refering to herself as "we", although at first she just meant us as the group. It did not occur to me until later that she was infact possessed by demonic spirits that dwelled within that ravine. I will elaborate later in the report. After a short ritual, Korknar determined the spirits of earth were furious. Such a deduction did not require any sort of communion with the spirits. Anyone with any functioning eyes, even mine which are far past their best, could tell that the earth was furious. Still, he demanded more answers, this time from spirits of water, so onwards we trekked to a shrine at the lake close to Silverwind Refuge, a place formerly in Kal'dorei possession, but no longer it seems. On foot.

When we arrived there, the place was overrun with water elementals, who also, unsurprisingly, were furious. As we held back the elementals, Korknar proceeded to communicate with the elements, but soon realised that their way was too chaotic to be helpful, and that elements at the sea would be more inciteful. Yet again, we pushed onwards towards the coast in the west. On foot.

Before we reached the coast, Kalsera seemed to suffer a bout of dizziness, then started to claim of having no memory since reaching the burial site. It seems the clearer minded elements of the sea would have detected the demonic presence within her, as I did, and would have been hostile towards it. So it did what any demon would; run like a dishonourable coward. The coastline were littered with naga, but such creatures are of little consquence to anyone. After promptly crushing such miserable whelps, we swam to a shrine just off the coast, where yet again, Korknar communicated with the spirits. Here, he gained insight that it was elements of fire that were causing such chaos within Ashenvale, but had little idea where they would be present...

...I have enclosed a diagram of such a location within Ashenvale where they might be present. It is a wonder he was unaware of the place. He would make a fitting candidate for joining the Red Banner with such a display of ignorance.

Image

Still, we had managed to keep him protected for the duration, so he headed off to return to his Earten Ring brothers and sisters. At least, I assume he was part of the Earthen Ring. As the shapeshifter moved off home as well, I confronted Kalsera about her unstable behaviour as of late. It was not mentioned in a previous report, but she had attacked me the week before, clearly out of her senses on either Fel magic, the Light, snuff, dream dust or a combination of the four. Sadly for her, I came close to stomping on her miserable hollow head, when she suddenly felt awake again... and in a clear hurry to leave Ashenvale too. She did reveal her former studies were of the same ilk as the Forsaken who was absent from today's excursion. It would not surprise me if she fell back into old habits.

So ends my report for tonight. Between walking the length of Ashenvale and having to deal with a variety of personality issues, I am so very, very tired.

Just so you all know, I will not attend Red Banner day this week. One of my dogs was rushed in an emergency to the vets after a sudden illness, which ended up in them discovering that her kidneys were shot to hell. She's passed on now, and I'm a bit torn, so leading anything doesnt interest me right now.

Well see about next week.

Much strength Dre... :( that's horrible!

On another note: Sorry for not being there yesterday, I had to work late and when I came home I was too tired. I'll try to be there next week and level my warlock too. I removed Anshekee from the Banner and joined the defenders of Mulgore. It fitted nicely with his character. I do hope however that he can join you too someday, it would be nice. If not and you want to keep it Banner-only I can understand that too :)
