I am disappointed. I want my money back.

Tormeron on 05 Jan 2016 14:37 wrote:Designation: Potato

There were no potatoes. Not even a mission codenamed "potato". Should have been designated "burnt chicken" or possibly "burnt cow(s)".

Tormeron on 05 Jan 2016 14:37 wrote:(reason: Serendipity)

Serendipity was not present. And the event had nothing specifically to do with Serendipity anyway.

GHI was not used.

The designation was a joke and the reason was because Serendipity gave the reason for an edit "potato" so the potato got her back.

The reason I haven't used GHI is due to an error I am having on GHI, bag isn't showing up.

Gergel, Do you know how to save the items in my bag in a backup and not the rest of the configurations so i can reinstall GHI and not lose my bag contents but reset the bag's positioning. According to others it happens that the bag get outside the screen range and then you can't access it.

This was a serious event and everything related to it, including designation and reasons, must be serious. No fun allowed.

As for GHI, I'll try to remember to check if I can figure out how to solve your issue when I get home from work this evening.

Thanks, the bag does show up on Tormeron and other characters but not on Adrenus, that is why I couldn't make the items for the event.

My response to that is *sticks tongue out*

Alright. If your GHI backpack has gone off screen then you have two options.

The easy one:
- Open game menu.
- "Interface" button.
- "Addons" tab.
- "Gryphonheart Items" menu item.
- "GHI Backpack Icon" submenu item.
- Press the "Reset Icon Position" button.
- The bag icon should now be in the center of your screen.

If that don't work:
- Log out of game. You don't really need to quit it entirely, but you can if you want.
- Go to your per-character saved variables folder: "WoW\wtf\Account\YourWoWAccount\Moonglade\Adrenus\SavedVariables"
- Make a backup of "GHI.lua" file.
- Edit "GHI.lua" with your favourite text editor (you're a programmer so I'm sure I don't have to tell you to not use NotePad).
- Find the array variable "BackpackPos".
- Change both following numbers to something like 100.
- Start the game. The backpack icon should now be near bottom-left corner (about 100 pixels from bottom and left screen edge).

And if that don't work... Well, let me know and we'll try something else.

I did the second way you told me to, and GHI reset everything about itself. I tried to check the file again, it has been reset somehow by the game...

I guess you broke the structure somehow, like accidentally deleting a comma or a bracket or some such. Well then, just restore the file from backup and try again. Make sure you don't mix up commas and periods and that all the brackets match up. For example, my setting is:

Code: Select all
        ["BackpackPos"] = {
                1587.03275289393, -- [1]
                19.2418544113715, -- [2]
        },

and after the change it should be something like

Code: Select all
        ["BackpackPos"] = {
                100, -- [1]
                100, -- [2]
        },

I didn't break the structure, something is haywire on that file, I will just recreate the stuff...

No offence, Tormeron, but if the only problem you had before editing the file was the missing bag icon, and then GHI reset itselt completely after editing the file, then clearly there was a problem with the edit.

If you want to recreate everything and lose all the historical toys and items you had, that's your choice of course. Me, I would try everything I can to fix the problem and recover the items.
