I might be able to figure out a way to shut Rhonin up both in chat and audio, but it'll require the installation of a mod.

You can shut him off from chat if you just disable /y from chat window I think.

Pretty sure that "monster yell" has a different category from "player yell". But anyway, yeah, you can do that if you remember to switch it back on later, if you want to see NPC yells in various other places.
