Yeah I just realised. I think the ones with a purple XP icon are for your own XP, that one gave me XP that is.

They don't give too much XP either, a little less than a normal quest afaik.

Perhaps instead of the buddy system throughout the whole levelling grind people could just drift in and out for a few minutes up to an hour or so just to keep the interest going, higher levels can share their experiences ( without many spoilers hopefully) while people of a similar level can discuss the current quest.
I don't mind jumping in to hang out for a while if it helps.

The follower-missions that give follower-xp have their bonus reward in a green icon. The ones that give player-xp show it with a blue reward-icon.
