Why would she need a bodyguard? *grins*

To avoid being cooked (by Tormeron or other interested parties) and/or eaten raw/alive (by various voracious creatures who, for some reason, happened to be roaming the area, including a wolf, a panther, a human-leopard-thingy, an undead monstrosity and a tiny little bunny rabbit).

The bodyguard also provided a dish for her from which she could drink wine. Turkeys and bottles do not really mesh very well.

Gobble.

Also from various dwarves who walked past saying things like "Oh gud, ye brought supper" and such.
