So I've given some thought and I'd like to try hosting an event for you guys. We can work out a date and time that suits everyone but first here's the idea.

A group of Warlocks have found a way to tap into everyone's hearthstones and pull them wherever they wish. So The group will all appear in Stromguarde Keep on the upper floors, and will need to find a way to escape. However, their weapons will be gone at first, and they will not be able to use magic until later. Which means no portals, and hearthstones will not work, and neither will portals until they are outside the anti-magic zone. Any attempts to get out before the shield is down will result in extreme pain.

So Rules.
1/ No weapons until they are found,
2/ No magic and no hearthstones until later.
3/ No mounts as they wont be able to get through the shields.

Please let me know what you think, if I should change anything beforehand.

Hmm, interesting idea. Warlocks are overpowered, man!

Sounds like it might taste a bit of old fashioned D&D exploration, count me in ^^

I'm interested!

A couple of questions though, aside from the obvious "I hope the warlocks have a decent reason for pulling people to Stromgarde other than 'for the evulz'."

How does the anti-magic zone affect death knights, who are corpses animated by unholy magic? Take away the magic, and then they just just fall-over-completely-dead-I'll-go-delete-my-character-now? Ouch. >.<

What about druids? Is the shapeshifting process "magic"?

What about worgen? Is the wolfing-out process "magic"?

Worgen will have to stay in their wolf forms I suppose as that is their true form after the curse and holding a human shape takes some effort and magic. Though it could be explained as worgen curse is a disease not magic so they can shift between human and worgen but nothing else. Druids wont be able to shape shift.

Death knights wont die but their power will be limited to their own strength, it's not cutting magic out it's just severely suppressing it to the point it can't be externalised. So if magic is keeping you alive that's all it will manage to do.

There will be a reason for the warlocks to be pulling people in but I wont be revealing that just yet, if this event goes well I will likely expand on it. I'm tempted to add another rule where pairs and handcuffed together but I may save that for another game :D
